Skin

Hour Two

Hour Four

  • MSK US introduction and observation
  • Fluid dynamic practical

  • Real World Solutions for Common musculoskeletal injuries using Kinesiology Tape

  • Posture Evaluation from head to toe
  • Common postural dysfunctions
  • Taping methods for common dysfunctions

 FMT Performance Course Outline - Day 2 (8AM – 5PM)

Hour One

  • Review of framework for taping acute and sub acute musculoskeletal conditions
  • Introduction to Fascial Movement Taping concepts and brief review of FMT Basic concepts (taping movement, not muscles)
  • Four pillars of FMT Performance
  • Kinetic chain approach
    Priming the nervous system
  • Pain gate stimulation
  • Exoskeleton effect (snap back properties of elastic tape)


Hour Two

  • Introductions to:
    • Fascial Chain Anatomy & Function
    • Present sub-components and function of Performance back chain
    • Present sub-components and function of Performance front chain
    • Present sub-components and function of Performance lateral chain
    • Present sub-components and function of Performance functional chain
    • Present sub-components and function of Performance extremity chains

Hour Three

  • Tape application theory and practice
  • Tissue preparation, pre-application and application techniques for the following fascial chains:
    • Performance back chain taping
      • Function of the chain
      • Pre-application, positioning of the patient/client
      • Application of tape along chain, assessment of efficacy of tape application.
      • Motor Control Exercises/Neuromuscular Retraining for the Performance Back Chain
    • Performance front chain taping
      • Function of the chain
      • Pre-application, positioning of the patient/client
      • Application of tape along chain, assessment of efficacy of tape application.
      • Motor Control Exercises/Neuromuscular Retraining for the Performance Front Chain

Hour Four

  • Performance spiral lateral chain
  • Function of the chain
  • Pre-application, positioning of the patient/client
  • Application of tape along chain, assessment of efficacy of tape application.
  • Motor Control Exercises/Neuromuscular Retraining for the Performance Spiral Chains
  • Performance arm chains
  • Function of the chain
  • Pre-application, positioning of the patient/client
  • Application of tape along chain, assessment of efficacy of tape application.

  • Practice/Evaluation of technique Upper Body/Lower Body/ Spine Tweak Taping Concepts and applications
  • Practice/Evaluation of technique Upper Body/Lower Body/ Spine RockFloss Concepts and applications

Hour Six

  • Movement assessments
    • Breathing Pattern Assessment 
      • Systematic assessment of breathing patterns, Present normal pattern 
      • Common movement dysfunctions of breathing patterns
    • Rolling Screen
      • Systematic assessment of the rolling pattern, Present normal pattern 
      • Common movement dysfunctions of the rolling pattern
    • Push-up pattern
      • Systematic assessment of the push-up pattern, Present normal pattern 
      • Common movement dysfunctions of the push-up pattern
    • Scapular Screen
      • Systematic assessment of the scapular pattern, Present normal pattern
      • Common movement dysfunctions of the scapular pattern

Hour Seven

  • Double Leg Stance/Squat pattern
    • Systematic assessment of the squat pattern, Present normal pattern 
    • Common movement dysfunctions of the squat pattern
  • Staggered Leg Stance
    • Systematic assessment of the staggered leg stance pattern, Present normal pattern 
    • Common movement dysfunctions of the staggered leg stance pattern

Hour Eight

  • Sport-specific taping introductions and lab practice
  • Specific chains for yoga, running, throwing, kicking and scenarios related to sport movement. 
  • Function of taping chain in these sport patterns
  • Pre-application, prepare the client/patient’s body position correctly for application
    Application of tape along chain for sport-specific pattern
  • Motor Control Exercises/Neuromuscular Retraining for Sport Specific Taping
